Question: Does e-music have mp3s available of new releases that were released that day? Or is it like BMG where you have to wait a few weeks?

Answer: It depends. Its up to the label to upload the mp3s so it varies by label how quick they add them and some labels choose not to upload every release.

Typically, new releases from artists on labels which are already on emusic are out on new release day. Some see advance releases (up to two weeks ahead, like mountain goats "sunset tree") and some can be delayed for some release up to a week-or-so.

i fully expect the new of montreal, new deerhoof, new !!! and new youth group out on emusic on new release day.
