Is it just me, or does this thing look like its being beamed in from Texlahoma (the fictional planet in the book Generation X where it's always 1974)? This thing is browner than a fucking Bronson movie.

Also, with the Top chef marathon on, this game needs to stay good to keep my interest.

Obner sucks so far this year. Gimme something people.

And... what do you get when you pair the two most overrated teams in CFB?

This crap... two missed FGs under 40 yards and 3 or 4 TO's and there's still 4:38 left in the half. Gah.

notre dame lol

41-14 right now, so my pre-game prediction of 49-20 is still very much in play.

Charlie Weis is a cunt.

Was Quinn so upset about not winning the Heisman that he pulled a Gino Toretta anyway?

I think Dwayne Bowe is my favorite college WR; Calvin Johnson and Jarret from USC may be a shade better in the skills department but goddamn if Bowe doesnt have that nastiness...

He appears to be that rare possession guy who can also go vertical and get in the end zone.

Basically, TO without the mental problems. :D

So, who among the following can make the best case for #3?

LSU
Boise State
Wisconsin
USC

Tough call...

LSU
Boise St
USC
Wisconsin

Not bad, though the Badgers are really getting short shrift. And I have a hard time not putting Boise State at #3 at this point, especially after the Fiesta Bowl.

USC and LSU are both impressive, but also bolstered each of their cases with blowouts against a I-AA team posing as a BCS team. (And in USC's case, followed that up with a blowout over a team whose own case was bolstered by a blowout over the very same I-AA sheep in BCS wolves clothing).

In other words, simply having Notre Dame on your schedule should be considered a negative. You might as well be playing McNeese State.

Bullshit on both. Wisconsin won their bowl game, but they aren't a Top 5, or maybe even Top 10 team.

And Boise is National Champs. Undefeated. Before any of the big boys complains about their schedule, then go up and play the Broncos on the Smurf Turf.

Going even further

Ohio State wins, they are NC

Ohio State loses, I put Boise State as #1

I just heard a stat on the radio, can anyone confirm this:

Notre Dame has yet to beat a top 25 team since Charlie Weiss came there.

If that's true, what the fuck were they doing in the Sugar Bowl? No offense FT.

That's actually not true. This year alone, Georgia Tech and Penn State were both ranked when ND beat them.

But they still had no business being in the BCS, or even being in Div. I.

That was an ugly, but somewhat enjoyable game to watch. I couldn't believe how many face mask and unsportsmanlike conduct penalties were called, and the number of calls reviewed was insane. I can see not making a few of those calls or having to review one or two, but that fumble by Doucet near the sideline where they gave ND the ball even though the defender never possessed it was retarded. It was a good thing they overturned that one, or I'd think the Big 12 or Big 10 refs were worse than the Pac-10 officials.

I think there should be a rule that you can't play in a BCS game if you lose three in a row. I also laugh that ND set the NCAA record for consecutive bowl losses. I think Tom Osborne and Nebraska had the old record after losing eight straight bowls mostly to FSU and Miami in the Orange Bowl.
