What's the deal with the Lucinda Williams/Willie Nelson/ + Mainstream Country fest the next week? Any clue? Also, Dalen, you don't like Girl Talk?

Only band I've seen on that list is LCD Soundsystem and they were way boring.

Country Coachella? It's happening. Goldenvoice is promoting this version too. Since LA lost KZLA, which was the #1 country station in the US, there is a huge need for acts to come to SoCal in mass since they don't have the radio support to play the LA market on one-off shows.

Hmmm... maybe I should check out Oh!No!Oh!My! since they live here now.

The only acts I recalled hearing about were Lucinda, Willie, George Strait and Kenny FUCKING chesney...

I love the first 2, can abide G. Strait, but Chesney (FAAAAAAGGGOOOOTTT!!!) and his ilk are just reprehensible. Not like I could do more than pay lip service to going anyway.

Two questions:

1. What fucking year is this?

2. I wonder what lineup they are playing with?

That would be great. Their set at Coachella 2 years ago was amazing---best performance I've seen by them.

After missing last year, I'm really looking forward to Coachella again this year.

I thought there was some loose rule that bands couldn't really repeat-appear at Coachella for a few years. Arcade Fire should obviously trump that.

Is Nitzer Ebb still together or is this some sort of reunion?

I'd go so far to say that in my 37 years it was the greatest concert experience of my life. Being 10 feet from the stage didn't suck so bad either...
Word has it that !!! has also been confirmed.
