it took me one workday to figure out how to do everything i did in quark with indesign instead... and then they throw a ton of extra adobe compatibility that i love... haven't really had the desire to open quark in two years... deleted it off my computer

the compatibility is so great.

In Quark if you pull an illustrator EPS it's HEAVILY pixilated
in InDesign it's not only crystal clear, if you want you can paste it so that IT'S EDITABLE.

A lot of times I even create the whole illustration in indesign and cut out illustrator altogether

and thanks, cats. i'm going to start integrating indesign into our workflow. makes sense for new designers as well as keeping the software up to date.
