I've been building this list as a way of sampling stuff that I hadn't heard that I have seen in other people's top 20. I'm always afraid of missing something that I will absolutely love.

I thought I'd share it with ya'll in case you wanted to sample others favorites.

I didn't know they still made records. I actually stumbled on your list when I was on emusic last night. I chuckled when I saw that an album I looked up was on a list by timmyjoe42.

I started out my list to be things that I hadn't heard yet, so that's why most of your list didn't get included. FYI, the High Dials was actually 2005 unless you are talking about the European release.

I still think that I have a pretty good list for sampling here. :D

I also used to feel this way, but have realized that albums released in 2006 will still be available in 2007, and perhaps for even longer.

I just mean that, from a broad perspective, I am always afraid of not discovering albums that I would love, regardless of when they were released.

I don't want to discover something that should have been on my list. That would mean I left something off, which would be an error, and in terms of musical taste, I am infallible.

but the dilemma never ends. 2007 brings more music to listen to on top of what you have yet to hear from 2006, 2005, 2004... and on. there's never enough time. and cloning will NOT help!

While I do think this is a good effort, wouldn't linking myspace pages be more appropriate? You would get full songs vs. 20 second samples, albeit fewer songs.

they are 30 second samples, thank you, and much easier to search for on eMusic than on Myspace,

Be my guest at linking to all the myspace pages. :P

;)
