You should be watching The Wire. Politics is passe.

Did I actually miss anything besides were sending in more troops? As I was flipping through the channels momentarily I saw the Democratic Response was on and avoided it too.
Political apathy has set in hardcore with me, call me in late 07 or when this war is over.

BTW, Have there been any updates on Tim Johnson's condition?

After what's happened in I-Rack they would probably welcome us bringing turmoil into their country.

Of course the substance of what he said was bullshit... neither responding to the main recommendations of the Iraq Study Group (although Baker did let him have a few wiggle-room "raise troop levels briefly" words), NOR have a plan to increase troops to make a significant difference. The war was a catastrophic foreign policy blunder, wrong from the start, but McCain knows that if we are going to do anything productive with our invasion at this point we need 80-100,000 more troops.

So the substance was misguided... AND he seemed weaker and more fearful than I've ever seen him. I actually felt a little sorry for him. I think he's on meds.

I've been saying for 7 years that he looks like a little kid playing grown-up.

And on the Tim Johnson front - I heard a couple days ago he's been upgraded to "fair" condition.
