I should add, however that if you don't want them, DON'T HAVE THEM. They do consume your life, it's true. And that's not a bad thing, if it's what you want. But if you don't... you do the math.

I wouldn't change a thing for me. And it sounds like Greg is on the same ship.

I used to really want a kid or two but a few things changed my mind.

1. I only want to be a father if i can be a good one, and i can't see being a good one and still remain extremely active as a musician. And I can't see giving that up.

2. I'm worn out enough from everything as is, i can't imagine throwing a kid into the mix.

3. I might end up with a girl, and having taught pre-K through 12th, girls don't have a good age. Plus, i'd end up being a psychotic asshole through the whole dating process.

4. There's no rhyme or reason to it. I've seen great kids and horrible kids come from both great homes and shitty homes.

5. Then there's the state of the world...

is there a reason you chose to be a teacher? it doesn't sound like you like kids too much.

I like kids, and i like teaching kids music.

It's adults that are generally insufferable. And then they become insufferable parents who shouldn't have had kids. Regardless of demographic, it's amazing that some children everywhere turn out as well as they do, and not surprising that alot of them just take up space.

though i'm sure this will change given time, we've decided we are a one-child-family.

SHIT IS HARD WORK.

hear that. still hard work at 11 months. wife wants 3. luckily, she's trying to complete her bachelor's degree this year so she'll have time figuring out what being a stay-at-home mom means with more than the 1 we have.

it does help once they sleep regularly. takes a few months, but we were able to put him to bed at 9pm awaking about 5:30am, which is better than 3 hours sleep per awakening. Now he's at 8-ishpm bed, 6-ish am awake. i'm fine with that.

Oh god, girls and boys really are different. I never would have believed it til I had a girl.

She's this super sweet, always happy and smiling little person who just babbles a lot and likes to give hugs. And raspberries. She's awesome.

My son is sweet too but hyper and has a temper from hell.

I'm definitely looking forward to the barbie/dress up years. That'll be fun.

Oh and estone, we're at 6 months and it is SUCH a blast!! She's learning everything and curious about everything. Plus she's just the friendliest little person. She's learning how to wave to people so now in stores or in the elevator she's been known to wave "hi" to someone if they say hi to her, or tell her she's pretty. Which I think she knows already. ha

I just don't like this teething thing. ugh

You apparently don't remember the one favorable track I was referring to off of the same album.
