But it deserves every bit, if not more. It's just really good, plain and simple. I saw it and drove straight to Best Buy to get the soundtrack.
Living in Georgia for the better part of my life, I couldn't make it through any state approved event (Stone Mountain Laser Show, any fireworks display, etc.) without hearing Georgia On My Mind. It is after all, the state song. I mean, I heard it so many times that I didn't even notice it anymore. But when that song plays in this movie, it brought a fucking tear to my eye. He truly is a genius. And this movie absolutley captures that.
I'm pretty sure it came out on DVD today. GO RENT IT OR PUT IT ON YOUR NETFLIX OR WHATEVER, NOW!!!
