btw totally off topic, were you guys in austin for NYE? we were there, our friends 'danced' downtown, both on congress, one in a piece with 6 or 7 other women, the other on the side of the hotel in that aerial piece. was pretty fucking awesome.

nope. Chicago, we really ought to coordinate that shit better. Colin was here though.

yeh, i shouldve done a better job. we were in ATX from the 27th until the 1st, i was actually a little sick for some of that time, then drove back to nyc. shit-ass drive, that's for sure.
did manage to hit the salt lick, tho. highly recommended for you bbq appreciatin types. rock it family style, you wont be disappointed...

You missed stoopid fest with mr. and mrs. loogar. We drank and i made blue crab lasagna in a tomato vodka creme sauce on the 27th. Then we drove to chicago the next day. Can't even imagine the drive to NYC.

You live in the south now. Get used to this reaction. If it ever does ice over, don't even venture out of your house because you WILL get into an accident. People who aren't used to driving in ice will still go full speed.

Exactly.

This thread would have been awesomer if it were titled "This thread is so full of prosties."

Still, the assholes that ARE on the road are driving with less acumen then the cops in Blues Brothers.

Snow days are so rare in Atlanta that when even a hint of snow comes around people go into End of the World mode.

Grocery store shelves are emptied of everything and people stock up on kerosene and gas.

I'm pretty sure the Atlanta DOT doesn't even own a snow plow.

No, I bet they own one. And they expect that one plow to clear all of Atlanta's roads in a timely and effective manner. Speaking of, rock salt is something they should look into as well. I saw this hilarious video of a MARTA bus sliding at least a block on an icy road... bouncing off curbs and taking out trashcans and mailboxes like it was in a pinball machine.

Texans would start feeding fires with their children in a fit of panic.

The same reason northeners go on vacation somewhere warm and complain about the heat and getting sunburned? I think it's a matter of exploiting vulnerabilities. Southerners are horrible drivers and Northeners get melanoma standing by a grill.

It's 11 below here right now. I drove to work in a snowstorm at 3:45 am. So, I think melanoma grill would be okay right about now.

Well, it's about 30 degrees here now. Everyone thing is shut down again tomorrow. I had to close my store today and it will be closed again tomorrow. There were hundreds of accidents today and they closed several roads and bridges because there was ice on them. Wow. This is crazy to me. I never closed my store in Chicago due to weather but I can't get anyone to come to work--they are too scared to drive.

It's 10 degrees with about two-three inches of snow here. It was like 1 degree Monday morning and my freaking building key kept sticking in the lock.

FT, that is a Hillarious pic
