I see a dress (edit) shirt. What makes it not-an-Oxford? The type of cloth?

So, will you be appearing on VH1's new "original" programme, Best Five Minutes Ago Ever?

To clear up the collar thing:

When wearing a suit or anything with a jacket and tie , you should wear a non-button down collar.

OPA! and Bloor will disagree, but a button down oxford with jeans and a jacket are pretty much what I wear I wear every day I am not taking meetings.

(And, remember, when taking fashion advice from these two style mavens, that one can't figure out how to wear a tie and not have it fall inthe toilet when he clearing last night's date out of his butt at work, and the other wears his spread collar shirts untucked -- AKA the Joe Simpson/George Maloof)

<---Presently wearing brown loafers, olive Polo Dungarees, a button down blue and white striped shirt and a Navy Polo sweater vest.

meh. I have 4 rings. One of them only fits on my thumb and there is sentimental value to them all. I have had them since I was damn 18 years old for the most part. I must've missed the uncoolness rule about rings on the fingers. Never even knew OTHER people cared about whether or not I had silver on my hand. I have never met a person in real life who has stated issue with or even mentioned them to me. Ya'll some picky mofo's.

Is a non-button down collar to be read as "button-less collar"?

The people in 'real life' make fun of you behind your back. Trust me.

Men in general shouldn't wear too much jewelry.

Well, people of your ilk have no problems staying skinny, what with the bug and all. Polo has a fine contract with Otto that keeps us all happy.

I disagree. The statements about rings are awfully subjective. Despite whatever opinion some of you folks may have of me, I am pretty observant. Whether or not people think it is proper men's fashion or not, I do not know. What I do know is that the people I typically run into in "real life" actually just don't seem to care whether or not I have rings on my fingers. The people that I know personally would have no problem letting me know if they thought something I did, said, or wore was a little out-dated, inappropriate, or just plain stupid. I think some of you guys care a little too much--or maybe the discussion in this thread is an extension of the good senator's thread about the slow moving threads of Obner '07. Nothing else to talk about so let's fabricate some serious reactions to the fashion taboos and no-no's that exist in Hegels wardrobe. :)

I dunno, I can't imagine there being two unfunny dipshits who pretend to know a lot about sports on one message board, though I guess it is possible.
