Motown, living in southern california, surfing every week in La Jolla, hot summers at the beach, warm clean blue-green ocean water, more of the British Invasion and the Beatles, Beach Boys, the Ventures, hot-rod and surf music, pre-drugs and pre-rampant testosterone, surfing in Mexico, good group of surfing buddies, joining my first band as a drummer, learning guitar from Danny Weis, rich girlfriends from up on the hill who had yet to initiate and follow Darwinian mate-selection techniques and rules, AM radio, too young for Vietnam, the exciting feeling of endless possibilities.

How'd this guy manage to write and post a message board entry dated forty-two years into the future? Bizarre.

Sounds like a Keanu Reeves movie.

great post.... although La Jolla was pretty white (was?)

and either you have the memory of a savant, are a good student of history, or you were indeed old enough for Vietnam. I remember three in my high school graduating class who died in Vietnam. I remember surfing in Santa Monica... not as white as La Jolla.

Yeah, this is a post of the year contender, early in 2007.

How does B. Hazelwood stack up against the Filipino judge, though?

I didn't know that William Rehnquist posted to Obner in the weeks preceding his death.
