I just upped The Best of Doug Sahm and the Sir Douglas Quintet 68-75 for Corey...anyone else want/need it, PM me.

RIYL: Gram Parsons, Bob Wills, Frank Zappa, etc...

It is now my personal opinion that this dude became what Parsons wanted to.

I LOVE Doug Sahm and actually like him more than Gram Parsons but I agree with you completely. His version of Wasted Days and Wasted Nights has been on almost every mix I've made for the last 2 years. I upped this for some Obners a while back too.

Never noticed before, but "Catch the Man on the Rise" sounds EXACTLY like one of those lesson songs played by the junkyard band during an episode of Fat Albert & The Cosby Kids.

I just might have to doctor up a YouTube clip of this...
