Democrats are promising a new direction for America. Where is unemployment today? It's at a 15, 20-year low, something like that? Taxes, where are they today? Taxes are at near 20-year lows. Federal tax revenues? Revenues to the treasury are at an all-time high. Oil prices are plummeting. The federal deficit is down almost 50% because of the surging revenues. Home valuations in the past 3-1/2 years have gone up over 100%. Even though there may be a downturn in the market now, look at the progress that was made there. Inflation? There's hardly any to speak of. We haven't had a terrorist attack on our soil since 9/11. The stock market is setting all-time highs. 401(k)s have bounced back.

So a new direction would be the opposite of this?!

I swear, the Democrats have a vested interest in America's defeat, either on the battleground or here at home. Nothing, I mean NOTHING, has the Democrats done or said made me feel good to be an American.

...seriously dude. I think you have the wrong board.

If this is another Spade Kitty experiment, I'm gonna invest the $40 in gas to administer him a personal kick in the balls.

except for the lesbian porn thread, which is spam, (and is surely being deleted as we speak by the mods), ... YES.

Vested? No, No, it's covered by a burkha or a shalwar kameez.

Don't you have a show for which to practice, Mike? Go get your upright bass on, jazzbo...

&, oh yeah, the B.J.J. -- Bureau of Juvenile Justice -- from debate, ten years ago, that shee' is still funny. But other than that, you, Jerry, Jim, Dave (where he gettin' fallin' down, blackin' out drunk, tonite?), Kathy, Cathy, et. al., ad infinitum, you're played out.

My new direction for America would have something to do with not making up unnecessary, endless wars; not decimating environmental regs important to the future health of the planet; not giving the president unchecked power; expecting the administration to be accountable; not alienating most of our allies while creating new enemies; not going so far into federal hock that our grandchildren's grandchildren will hate us; not giving the government the power to arbitrarily decide someone is a threat thus not having to afford them legal rights.

Not stomaching an administration that is so arrogant it thinks it can "stay the course" on every item regardless of how much it runs every item into the ground
at the expense of lives, freedoms, and the future of our country.

And perhaps an administration competent enough to figure out when it has been the spiralling instigator, when its lunkheaded approach to "stamping out terror" has caused disparate sects to band together and become an actual terrorist threat when previously the sects were little more than packs of ill-funded crazies whose ideologies kept them them from working together.

Oh, etc.

But if your great direction is all about interest rates and the price of real estate, well good on ya. At least you care about something.

Let's not run this sensei off the board until we know what he looks like. He may be cute.

So sensei, do you do Craigslist?

Leave it to Philspoon to not only take the bait, but to concoct a good answer. I generally stop with the first part.

So Monty, you know this assclown? If you brought a mess in here, you know you have to clean it up, right?

My post could be construed as hyperbole if I didn't mean all of it. I can't feel comfortable with an administration that refuses to be accountable and that creates its own reality, no matter how positive the stock market, unemployment rate and investment ops.

Unfortunately I don't have much more respect for Pelosi-type people, either. But at least she didn't invent a war and demonize every person who questions the legitimacy of that war.

I don't see too many great answers coming from the Dems this session, but right now I'm just looking for extrication from Iraq and for a tunnel light pointing the way for Train Cheney to putt-putt into the distance and not come back.

I am just running with FT's intimation that the IP for Sensei is Milwaukee-based, & of current MKE boarders (back_space, dhr_jehricho, me, nickisnotdead) the only reasonable guess is the last. (Bob already absolved me of culpability.)

So, just my conjecture, really.

As to bringing the assclown here, nickisnotdead was on cmj's board, possibly before I, & he stuck around after we all had left. He has migrated to Obner, really, only recently... But I think that he's turned up the juice (no relation to the Houstonian) to get a board-war going with me. Of course, I only try to parry the blows, throw a sharp dart or two, & move to the next phase.

"Sensei" might just be that....

He posts exactly the same way 4030 did. Arico rarely responded to critique, if I remember right.

Anyway, shmoo said it best:

Most Honorable Sensei,

Fortunately your opinions are fringe:

"Conservative Values" versus "San Francisco Values":

ABC News/Washington Post Poll. Jan. 16-19, 2007. Adults nationwide. MoE ± 3.

Do you approve or disapprove of the way George W. Bush is handling his job as president?

Approve 33
Disapprove 65

Do you approve or disapprove of the way Nancy Pelosi is handling her job as speaker of the House?

Approve 54
Disapprove 25

The pollsters helpfully compare the failed Pelosi speakership with Newt Gingrich's successful kick-ass revolutionary one (approve/disapprove):

12/20/94 (as incoming speakers): 35/43
1/4/95: 35/37
1/29/95: 40/48
3/5/95: 38/51

And so it went. Newt's best showing was in May and July of 1998, when he scored equal 41/44 ratings.

And if you want some real fun, how about CBS News' latest Bush poll?

Approve 28
Disapprove 64

I actually would invite debate (and not about lesbians doing Bill Parcells)... in that your claims are crackpot. Oil prices are falling after being at all time highs. The deficit has been cut after being the largest in history. Unemployment is low, although wages are down. And our actions in Iraq have certainly kept those terrorists in the middle east... except for the small problem of the dead in Madrid and London.
