I finally heard this album over the weekend and I think it blows. It sounds very amateur, especially with its painfully repetitive intros and the forced rhymes. Do people who listen to rap enjoy this, or is this just popular within the indie crowd?

all i know is that the video for "dream" is great. i've also been disappointed in dizzee rascal, especially after all the hype. it seems very elementary with only moments of anything more. in the past month, though, i've come around on a variety of music that i'd been putting off, so maybe this is next after repeated listening.

don't really enjoy his style. the streets album from this year blows too. and i liked the last streets album.

I can enjoy Streets anywhere. Dizzee seems more club-only fare for me.

Everything I have read bout Dizzie made me d/l his two cd's (with the idea if I liked em, I'd buy em, for you anti- d/l'ers)....But since d/l'ing them, I have yet to build up the motivation to actually hear em.

i like showtime, but i think he seems to have lost a little bit of "the street" from what i can make out of his lyrics.

in other news, i really enjoyed the new streets album.

I like Boy in Da Corner because it sounds really raw to me. I am sick and tired of hearing overproduced crap.

so you're protesting it by listening to underproduced crap?

I like Showtime better than Boy In Da Corner.

i can't get into him, the only song i like at all is "fix up look sharp" but i like it because of the beat that a million people have already used.

i think people who are into club music like this more than rap fans.
