Sadly they are actually named after a type of butterfly.
And even more sadly, I know this because I looked through a book on butterflies back in high school while trying to come up with a name for my band at the time.

I think they are more likely to be called Prussian Blue after one of the compounds used to make Zyklon-B - the gas used to murder people at Auschwitz.

On a lighter note, if memory serves correctly, there is also a breed of cat called a Prussian Blue.
