www.allmusic.com has this "most anticipated albums of 2007" up. Apparently Kelly Clarkson is working with Mike Watt on her new album.

I actually like the couple of K.C. songs I've heard recently. And I think that this pairing could be pretty cool.

I think it'll be crap, but Watt's getting up there. He'll have to retire someday and it's not like the Minutemen ever made much...probably Jackass using Corona for their theme song made more than everything else they did. Rather than getting pissed, I actually like seeing guys I grew up listening to getting a little in the bank account. I see no need for all my musical heroes to die broke and alone. So, I can see why he'd so it. But, I don't expect it to be worth much as far as anything I'd wanna listen to. I'm sure she can sing fine and all that, and it could always be a surpise, but nothing he's ever done has had a damn thing to do weith a vocalist who could really sing, and I'll be shocked if I like it at all once it's done.

Really, he'll probably just be a session man stopping by the studio and picking up a few bucks....not a collaboration in any real sense of the word.

Aww, she looks ok. I like the fact that she doesn't need to wear caked-on makeup, especially on the zit.

MONGER ALERT! Mike Watt abducts pop-singer, violates her, leaves her for dead in woods.

I've got nothin' against Kelly. I actually kind of liked her last release. I'll be curious to hear. Certainly a couple of nice people.
