DBT seems to be taking a year off, but members will be busy. Really looking forward to hearing the new Patterson Hood solo joint, its got Centro-Matic guys playing on it. This guy writes really good lyrics in many interesting places. See www.pattersonhood.com

Peace

Can't say I blame em.

Pretty sure they've been on the road or in the studio constantly since Southern Rock Opera came out.

Well deserved rest. Recharge the creative batteries.

Or pick up a nasty coke habit, whatever comes first.

PICK UP?!

I wanna hear the Isbell solo joint more than anything at this point.

Ditto. I tend to like Patterson's song more as a whole, but "Dress Blues" has sets unusually high expectations.

Ha! My first reaction as well.

I too think that this is a good move considering how much of a force Isbell has become in the band relative to his age--I think if he (and Patterson) can do their solo thing every couple of years in between DBT releases and tours it will probably mean a longer/less burned out career for everybody involved.

My favorite song on "Blessing and A Curse" was a Cooley song, "Space City"
