Ok, i know of him but thats about it. I was in a coffee shop this weekend, and they were playing one of his discs. To be honest with you - I thought it was some Decemberists song. I am not sure what album it was. All I know is this - I want to get some Nick Cave discs.

So Obners - help me out - where in the world should i start?

Thanks!

'Henry's Dream' is one of my favorites. But you can't go wrong with 'The Good Son' or 'Tender Prey' either.

I say get Murder Ballads. Afterwards, self-mutilate and stagger bleeding into a Catholic mass while shouting "The boats! The boats are coming!"

Though it's my favorite Nick Cave album, I'm not sure I would recommend this as the first purchase. It's kind of misleading, like starting on Beck with Sea Change.

Let Love In may be the answer.

My favorite is:
Abbatoir Blues/Lyre Of Orpheus

Although I'm sure that I'm in the minority.
Still, great album.

And I need to get Let Love In.
Probably my next purchase, as I've been on a Nick kick recently.
