I have to agree with what Jasmine said, your ex is probably hurting no matter how amicable the intial split was. It's never easy to see your ex with someone else, especially soon after the split.

And the fact that you both knew this person makes it feel even worse.

When my ex-husband and I were divorcing we managed to get along pretty well, mainly for our son's sake and because we were once each other's best friend. We fought like the dickens though while meeting with our attorneys over the money issues. That was the worst part of it all.

There was never any nasty name calling. I was the one who started dating right away, I had met someone right when we separated(my idea, we married young and partially due to my expecting our son and we just grew apart).

I look back on that and WISH to god I had waited a while. I wish I had taken it easy and spent time on myself rather then dipping back into the dating pool.

Anyways, my ex and I have had only a couple huge fights (one of which was particularly nasty and got physical-not something I like to think about-but it was about money of course).

Just take it easy, stay clear of her but also be mindful of the fact that this just may not be easy on her.

Oh and yeah, keep all your accounts safe.

This is good advice for EVERYONE, not just those going through a divorce.

Did you find dating ridiculous after your divorce? I often find myself thinking, "I was married. I took vows. And now I'm worrying about some idiot guy calling me?"

It's always sad to see two people who loved one another at one time get vindictive and bitter.

On the other hand, Dale, her actions sort of validate your decision to make a change in your life, don't they?

they really do man. i've been seeing a different side to her lately that's just dark, and definitely not something i want to be involved with.

i appreciate everyones comments and advice. i'm usually not one to breath my probs publically, but this shit just kinda freaked me out.

Well I can probably get out for a couple hours locally if you ever want to trek down to the south loop, I'm right off the red line. It would just be easier for me to get home if she got fussy.

Let me know and we can go out and tell stories over dinner. :)

I lollered.

Plus, a cooch-themed jest seems apropos for a Dalen Divorce thread... How no one saw this coming is beyond me? I mean, OPA! wouldn't be able to, 'cause he still sees himself getting a chance to bottom for D., but nobody else on this board remained unblinded by "tune-a-day" & gonzo-porn? Really??

Man, this board is depressing lately. Layoffs, divorce, sensei...
