Looking at an office full of CDs last night & decided I really need to make decisions on a bunch I haven't pulled out in awhile. The first few from this morning:

The Alarm -- In the Poppy Fields

Yeah, I have a soft spot for the Alarm. Their show at the Beacon Theater in NYC ('86?) still ranks up there. Though this really isn't the Alarm, it's still Mike Peters. And some of the songs (mainly The Drunk and the Disorderly) take me back to their first few CDs. Probably keep.

The Judybats -- Full-Empty

What the hell happened to the band which put out Down in the Shacks... and Pain Makes You Beautiful? The cover of Jive Talkin has to be one of the worst things I've ever heard from a band I formerly liked. Bleech. Gone.

Verbow -- White Out

Just interesting enough for me to keep this around. Bob Mould loved 'em, which is almost a reason by itself to not chuck it. What happened to these guys? Chicago band, right?

If you look up their "Strength" video on youtube, that's pretty much me 20 years ago. I coulda swapped places with Mike like Elvis swapping with Sebastian in Bubba Ho-Tep.

The work/reward ratio of that particular task seems way out of wack.

Heh, Jeesuz, pretty much. Less bloated and five years younger than that. But that's the worst-case me.
