it's never too late to join in the fun. my local Democratic Comittee scheduled a huge meeting to coincide with this tonight, but these speeches are important to watch if only to watch what images and expressions the president attempts to pound into the heads of his constituency. Also, see what turns his rhetoric might've made in the past few weeks.

i watched the last few and the innauguration, i'll probably be content watchin She Hate Me or playing my Punisher video game, much to my girlfriend's dismay and embarassment.

i got sucked into this game by reading an interview with ennis about his inputs into it, and i had to check it out. a lot of his sense of humor really is there, surprisingly.

If it was Tiger Woods Golf, I applaud Cotton. I just played 18 holes during my lunch break and am -34 through 2 rounds at some course in Idaho.

really? Well, Ennis' involvement makes it a lot more interesting. Though he was involved with that hunk of shit of a movie, too, wasn't he? Not that it was that bad, but because no Punisher movie has a shot in hell of being great. or for that matter why no Punisher anything can be that great.

i'll be having dinner and then going to a rock show, but i normally do try to tune in, regardless of my feelings toward the president and his agenda. if his inauguration speech is anything to judge by, at least they have a speechwriter with a gift for grand, inspiring rhetoric (that's a compliment).

I saw a blurb on CNN Headline News that the speech was going to be about 40 minutes and all the applause will be held until the end. Might actually make it bearable for me. I can't stand all the wang-sucking applause that goes on every 2 minutes.

yeah but it makes for great contrast when you're playing music and muting the TV for them. It's kinda scary, esp. the expression on W's face. Remove the applause and it's like he's playing the pope.

I actually am interested in how he reacts to the silence (if indeed I did read the blurb correctly). Could make for great unintentional comedy.

not all, only the really cool ones, like when you drive a drill press through a guy's skull or have him get impaled todeath by a rhino... it actually looks pretty neat. the gameplay is a bit too simple, though, for as neat as those killscene animations are.
