The band is made up of Damon Albarn from Blur, Paul Simonon of The Clash on bass, Simon Tong of The Verve on guitar, and Tony Allen from Fela Kuti's band on drums. Danger Mouse produced. The album has a very laidback sound, and is certainly a product of the reggae/afrobeat influence of Paul and Tony. Officially the band doesn't have a name, but the album is called The Good The Bad and The Queen.

i only heard one song (in Dri's car). liked it, but didn't see such a difference then 'Gorillaz' except for different cats playing the tracks.

just heard the few songs posted to various blogs and have been totally underwhelmed by it. i will give it a few more chances because i like everyone involved, but i'm not holding out much hope for it to be a contender.
