Travis announce new album
'The Boy With No Name' to be released in May

Travis will release their new album 'The Boy With No Name' on May 7.

It will be the follow up to 2003's '12 Memories' and will be proceeded by the single 'Closer' on April 23.

Of the new album, frontman Fran Healy said: "After a time of feeling stuck we feel we can do anything. We've come through the dark places and it feels like we've found our muse once more."

Speaking about working with long-time collaborator Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, guitarist Dougie Payne said: "We trust Nigel and fear him. If Nigel doesn't think something is any good he'll say."

The tracklisting for the album is:

'3 Times And You Lose'
'Selfish Jean'
'Closer'
'Big Chair'
'Battleships'
'Eyes Wide Open'
'My Eyes'
'One Night'
'Out In Space'
'Colder'
'New Amsterdam'

wankers. i wish they'd make a return to the brit-pop sound of "good feeling"; instead, of their melancholia. geez, what's their next album title going to be, "the girl who became a woman"?

But they made a fortune and married actresses and models, what have they got to be happy about!?

Travis are a band that should have been hermetically sealed in 2001.

maybe i'm being harsh, but i'm not really convinced that there's a need for anymore travis records. it's great that their drummer was able to recover from that accident and everything, but this style of music is fucking played out.

speaking of which, travis win the award of "rock band i would feel comfortable bringing my grandparents to see live"
i'm still undecided if this is an honor or a derision

i have to agree with mojo here. i used to be a huge fan, but the last couple albums have left much to be desired.

I'm looking forward to a future volume 2 of their greatest hits.

had all the records, and never listened much to them in full. Tehn picked up the first hits collection and it is in constant rotation.

Hoping this is better than their last one which overall was pretty diappointing.
