It's like -2 here with 35 mph wind gusts that is making it feel like -20. It sucks.

Was 22 below last night, high today is -4, not taking into account wind chill. They canceled school. There are locked-up cars all over the Beltline today.

we're at -6 right now with 20 mph gusts, which puts the wind chill around -26. and i wouldn't mind so much if there any hint at it being just a bit warmer soon.

I'm out of toilet paper, and am openly avoiding going to the store to get more because it's so fucking cold out. I should NOT have had that coffee. Goddammit.

It's supposed to be in the teens later this week. I might wear shorts.

One of the very few days that I'm glad that I drive to work instead of walking to the train.
It hurts to breathe.

Yeah no shit. I might have to let the dogs just shit on the floor, and then fling it out the door or something. Jesus it's cold out there. I'm gonna have to bundle them up, with boots on, just to go piss in the back yard.

Sitting in Detroit airport- I think it was 2 or 3 when I landed- looks cold out there, alright. Weird white shit on the ground. Plane to Taipei via Osaka should be boarding momentarily- Forecast for Taipei next 2 weeks is daytime- 70, night-60. I can cope with that.

This morning SUCKED. I was late leaving the house, so I had to run to the train, only I can barely walk right now, so that wasn't happening. I made it to the stairs as the train was pulling up. Seriously, if I missed that train, I probably would've cried and went straight home. It's too cold to be outside anymore than I have to.

I'm especially glad that my dad is currently off work for four weeks. he's a garbageman and would be freezing his arse off right now.

My dad's a Teamster and works on the docks at McCormick Place... outside ON THE LAKE.

Thankfully, he's been working there long enough to make some connections with people at the decorating companies who bring him down to Florida to work the shows down there during the winter months.

I know how you feel, Jas.
