We (me, writing for Austinist) updated our SXSW list today - about 505 acts now confirmed. SX is still refusing to publish the band list - super strange.

Bloor and I are still in negotiations with our lawyers, the Texas State Board of Pardons and Paroles, and Ross Perot's personal army to see if they can accomodate our massive and bizarre needs. Will keep you posted.

I'm there 3/11-3/17 (leave Sat morning since have to work Sunday). Renting a car, but I've got a friend coming in from NY on 3/14 or so and we're splitting a hotel room at that point. Before then, I'm on the couch at Casa De Peden.

First and foremost, I need to figure out my living situation. After that, I will know if I have to save like a mofo to get my own place, or just casually save so I can pay the rent of two people. My roomie's gf will be arriving in Chicago this Friday, so I should know sometime by the end of next week.

After that, I need to figure out how much vacation time I will have in March.

Finally, I need to check out airfare deals. I'm not buying any tickets to the shows and will be relying solely on free daytime shows to keep me busy.

What's Austin weather like in March?

I'll be pulling in on the evening of the 14th, and will have a couple pretty crazy days (look for me at parties/showcases by Billions, Arthur/Press Here, Spin, Devil in the Woods, and Filter) before shipping the Levi boys home, leaving me a whole Saturday with which to get freely smashed and hopefully buck nuck with American chicks.
