I thought there was supposed to be a version with a DVD, but there wasn't. The U.S. version contains 2 bonus tracks as well, both quite good.

I'm really not into this record at all, I've tried a few times and there's only a small handful of tracks I like.

Yeah, this is how I feel about it too. I'm still holding out for some good remixes though.

Send the bonus tracks my way, or post them at ATAD.

I'm buying it today. I haven't heard a single note from it at all and thought I would delay reinforcement until this week. So, I'm pretty excited to listen to it after the long wait. I'm gonna grab it up at lunch.

i only listened to the leak a couple times, so i don't really have much of an opinion yet. definitely wasn't immediately blown away by it or anything though.

XMU keeps playing stuff from it. I really, REALLY wish he'd stop singing the same high note in every fucking song. He sounds like he's in pain.

Personally, I think it's quite good. Why they chose 'The Prayer' as the single, I'll never know, because it may be the worst song on the album.

But overall, it sounds pretty epic, their little ProTools and effects petal pieces are cool, and I do really get the young in drunk in London vibe that they intended.

So, yeah, it's nice.

sorry darling. i found it to be "meh" on first listen. there's a couple of tracks i enjoy but i don't see myself giving it repeated listens.

now. TTC is where it's at.

I dig it. So far it's been spun twice and will continue to be on repeat this week.

What are the bonus tracks on this, Dalen? Most of the local stores seem to have an 11 track version, so I grabbed it from emusic due to the supposed exclusive 12th track "Rhododendron."

sounds about as good, maybe more spacious, as their debut. good chance at early-2007 top 5 action.

i haven't heard it yet...but i hope it's a better second album than some loud thunder.

agreed, and good to hear that they didn't overdo it with the effects, and kept them minimal. their sound on the new album is less centered and much more spacious.

the new songs sound great live as well.

I played it three times this afternoon. I can understand some of the comments about it. Compared to Silent Alarm, it's a little standoffish and more subdued. I wasn't blown away or anything on first pass but there were definitely a few interesting moments. By the end of listen #3 I was with them. I'm playing it more tomorrow.

what? seriously? ugh.

i think i'm just anti-music right now because of recent events so i've been hating everything that's been released. don't mind me.
