(feel free put this narration to the r. kelly's trapped in the closet beat)

last night almost midnight
some jag-off hits my girlfiends (parked) car
and that hits my (parked) mini-van
her shit is totaled...
(it was a very cute little 1990 BMW)
my bumper is effed and my back door is all indented
but i can still drive it

i woke up and looked out the window...
see the jag-off's car
and i turn on my porch light
then the jag-off just takes off

jag-off left his license plate
ditched his car
but they found him an hour later
arrested his ass

i haven't found out if he was drunk yet
i don't know why he'd split if he wasn't

fortunately, jag-off had insurance
so i shouldn't get too screwed by this

but its still inconvenient as hell
and i just got that van
and my girlfriend definitely can't afford to buy a vehicle

for the first time in a couple years i got pissed off
god damnit

I had one myself in college. Best thing ever. Also had a hit'n'run on it, so I feel this pain.

That's pretty much the only thing I got from the story, too. Minivans are awesome. Good for parking lot sex.

Cats, for serious, sorry to hear about the accident. Thank goodness you guys weren't in a position to get hurt. [/url]

No wondering here. I got that tag for weighing in at 325 and having mutton chops a mile wide. That was pre-minivan.

Come to think of it, ours had a hitnrun, too. It was parked on a busy street in front of our condo and some douchebag dented the driver's side of the vehicle to hell.

If you are a male, and drive a minivan as your primary vehicle, sorry, you are under suspicion for every kidnapping/moloing a tri-county area.

*shudder*

im a lifer with the minivans now
i haul lots of large artwork and band gear so i need the space plus it gets decent gas mileage (previously i had a large ford serial killer van... which was great for space but cost a dick and a leg to drive)

ooooh rad...

i work at a company that does television news broadcasts
and the anchor just got in from the police station
he tells me this jag-off blew a .21 on the breathalizer
(over double the legal limit here_this was like at least an hour, hour and a half after the accident)

jag-off was picked up walking around with his girlfriend trying to act inconspicuous
(it was only like ten below)

My dad had a molester van when I was in high school. One of those big metal Fords without windows. And it had a cage right behind the front seats. Guess who got to drive that to school every day? I was queen molo for a year.

I bet you were pretty popular with the potsmokers and the football team (possibly all at the same time)

Not at all. I was a good girl in high school. My friend Heidi and I put some lawnchairs and a stereo back there once and drank jaegermeister. that's about the extent of my wild times.

I wish I had that van now, though. I'd start kidnapping people.

Leaves license plate, awesome.
That's better than a cell phone number, haha.

Get yourself a lawyer and you could own his house in no time.

Don't forget to sue for the replacement value of all those city stickers. @ $78 each, that's some good extra spending money.

should we look into getting a lawyer for this, or will jag-off's insurance be enough?
i don't want to wreck jag-off's life but i would like to at least get shewilleatyou a reliable vehicle

Let's see, high BAC, DUI, wrecking shit, and fleeing. The only thing he could have done to fuck himself more would have been to kill someone. His insurance will take care of you and the gf, if they don't, i'd get a lawyer then, but what do i know?

yea... my insurance company told me that his insurance company will be paying for 100% of our damages

it was a "3rd degree" DUI (i don't know what that means but im pretty sure the guy can't drive for a bit) ...plus caught fleeting and thrown in the can ... he's not gonna get affordable insurance again anytime soon... and he's gotta have a hangover and an embarassed girlfriend.. so i feel like that's enough bullshit to put him through as long as my shit gets fixed

i don't know anything about lawyers and we're both poor
can i worry about that later since we're probably all covered?
or do i need to get someone involved right away as a "just in case"

You can probably presume for now that your insurance company's lawyers will do the work for both of you. If you don't get what you need to out of insurance, you can think about a lawyer. Now, if any of you had been IN the car at the time, it might be a different story.
