yeah, these are first collection of songs I am hearing. I did know random stuff from my parents and the radio growing up.....I'm looking forward to a new obsession.

Billy G was tutoring me a bit in this genre of music. I love me some Shaft and Dolemite Sdtrks.

just picked up a curtis mayfield best of

looking into sly stone.....

what else should i dive into?

If you like Pfunk and Sly, I'd recommend anything I posted in this thread to you
