yea... my insurance company told me that his insurance company will be paying for 100% of our damages

it was a "3rd degree" DUI (i don't know what that means but im pretty sure the guy can't drive for a bit) ...plus caught fleeting and thrown in the can ... he's not gonna get affordable insurance again anytime soon... and he's gotta have a hangover and an embarassed girlfriend.. so i feel like that's enough bullshit to put him through as long as my shit gets fixed

i don't know anything about lawyers and we're both poor
can i worry about that later since we're probably all covered?
or do i need to get someone involved right away as a "just in case"

When I had a car accident (I was at fault), my insurance company provided a lawyer for me. I believe that the insurance company for the owner of the car I hit provided her lawyer. I'm not certain. Ask Rowdy Rodney Paris. He'll even give you a correct answer.

You can probably worry about it later since your insurance company said that the other company's covering it. That's what insurance folks are supposed to do.... take care of this shit so you don't have to.

Make sure the blue book value of your car that they give you actually covers the cost of you replacing her car. Keep the cash you get to fix yours for a cd buying binge!

1. That really was a kickass old beemer. I'm not normally a fan, but those body styles look really good. Nice wheels, too. Fuck.

2. Minivans are NOT an acceptable answer. Station wagons are preferrable. Monger.

3. If this is the first time you've been pissed in a year, you're doing something right.
