Negligible, as in sucky...or as in overlooked? Cause I think the first 2 solo CDs are real solid (haven't heard the others, though)

Aimee Mann (Til Tuesday)
Alejandro Escovedo (Rank & File, True Believers, Buick MacKane)

Neglligible as in lacking in quantity. She's only put out, what, 4 solo albums in 20 years?

Second Cale, Parsons, Richman, Leo and Cave.

Yeah, I'm more of a fan of his output as Crooked Fingers and have been really impressed with the Saddle Creek solo work.

well...no...I actually like all those solo acts about the same as I do their respective bands...some a little more, some a little less, but they've each had pretty respectable solo careers.

As for the John Davis...I'm a huge superdrag fan, and I like that solo record a bunch (yeah, its a bit jesusy, but the songs are good) even though I'm a jew.

Good Choice

I'd also add Teddy Pendergrass in that category.

Although his solo stuff is different, 60's soul just doesn't get much better than The Impressions' singles output: "People Get Ready", "Amen", "It's All Right", etc...

Just can't get on that 70's Curtis is better bandwagon.
