So, there is this girl that works in my office. She is 21. Just a few moments ago she started singing, "Everybody Hurts...Sometimes...etc". I decided to ask her if she knew who sang it. She was like, "ummm. Foreigner"?

HAHAHA. I had to get up and leave the room I was laughing so hard. I think she was close to tears because of how much I was laughing at that answer

SHE THOUGHT IT WAS FOREIGNER.

hahahaha

I had a similar experience at a bar the other night. A Young lassie bartender was explaining to an older patron about the Tom Petty version of "Girl You'll Be A Woman" off the Pulp Fiction soundtrack, Diamond's was playing in the background. I quite gentlemanly corrected her that it was Urge Overkill. She outrightly denied it saying she was just playing the song before work. "Uh, okay, " I said. "Give me a double Dewar's on the rocks."

"Eh," I thought, "What a . . . insert . . ." Movin' on.

I wonder if she got confused with Petty's "Big Girl Now."

Speaking of Foreigner, if you ever get the chance to listen to their live album, jump on it. Before each song, they lead into the song by saying something related to the name of the song, such as "Looks like there's a lot of pretty girls out there, and there are some DIRTY WHITE BOYS up here!" then they play dirty white boys. I wish I could remember all of them -- they are TEH HILARITY!!1!

Stuff gets old and new people show up on the planet.

It happens.

Soulseek users have thousands of ridiculous song title and artist errors everyday.

I'd be guilty of this kind of sin with a lot of classical and jazz pieces, cuz they're pretty hard to tell apart, even if I like them.
