Hey, I live in Caribou.

I guess I got more than just an old Pixies song now.

Manitoba Lives!

I hope this is more "start breaking", less "up in flames"

Thanks Odds!

wow odds. how much time do you spend uploading files to YSI? Doesn't it take an hour each album? I'm not complaining. In fact I admire your dedication.

Nah... about 20 seconds to zip it and about 10-15 minutes to upload. YSI is the greatest thing we music fans could ask for.

I'm thinking about doing a weekly "out of print" CD upload... sound good? I'll start with Scrawl's Velvet Hammer.

I can't access this. Can someone please send me this over AIM/iChat???!

I too hope it's a jump from "Up In Flames", which I found to be too saccharine.

It's a lot more late-60's-pop influenced....he's erased almost all of the "Stop Breaking" touches from his work. Still, upon first listen, it is different from "Up"...

I have it for a while now and have listened to it a number of times but nothing seems to be grabbing me. I think it sounds a lot like Up In Flames, right down to a lot of similar drum sounds. I've got to go back to it to before I come up with any more of an opinion than that.

does track #2, subotnick, end abruptly on y'alls copy?

i've downloaded this twice, and both copies seemed like that track was incomplete.

this one is much closer to up in flames than start breaking, but i loved the former, so i'm happy.

It does sound like it cuts off... but there's two seconds of blank space after that. Perhaps they're not 100% done mastering yet... or, it is as he wants it.
