My hand is firmly on ghoul.... or gool, or however you spell it. You are still it.

But then....

**silently, on feet like a cat's, when you aren't looking, I dash away, with only a hint of where I had been only a moment ago!**

You are still it by the way......

My mom calls me into dinner, making me no longer able to participate in the game, and thus no longer it.

"I'll be right there, mom!"

I'm terrified of the bastards. So much so that at the yearly Pet Parade( a cool parade ) that our town held I flew into hysterics at the age of 9 when a Clown came up to me while I was with my family. My sadistic parents actually took a picture of me screaming and crying my head off with the clown in front of me.

When I was young my best friend had a giant stuffed clown that she kept on a rocker in her room a la Poltergeist.

Whenever I'd stay the night I'd make her father put it in the attic. I was afraid of midnight attacks. haa

I had a similar freakout at Disney World when I was about 5 and found myself surrounded by these guys...

Dull fact.

The word 'clown' comes from the Arabic for 'mask'.

oh Christ, why do you guys have to post pictures of Pennywise???? Not only was he horrifying in the book, but Tim Curry made him even more horrifying in that made-for-TV movie... (shivers)

Clowns are fucked up.

edit: two strange bits to share...
(a) When I was small (around 4-5), my parents took me to Busch Gardens in Florida. My mom wanted a picture of me standing next to this big scary clown. I didn't want to. She *made* me do it. So now my parents have a lovely picture of this big scary clown, kneeling down, with his arm around my shoulder, and me all red-faced and crying. What a memory!
(b) a friend of mine here went to a girl's birthday party when she was around 9. At the party, they had a clown entertaining the kids. The clown was very friendly with my friend. The clown *fucking called her house* after the party, and her parents didn't know who it was until my friend got on the phone with him... how scary is that???

Doesn't this clown turn into a giant spider that they have to defeat in its underground lair at the end? What a letdown.

I'm indifferent towards clowns.

The porcelain clown collection I had when I was ten makes me wonder what I was thinking though...

This is the most creepy and perverted thing I've read all day... And I even read some of Monty's posts.

Nike? Or are you thinking of those fake people in those battery commercials...

NP: Marianne Faithfull, Before the Poison -- no songs about clowns

Yes, Tormato, OTOH, does have a song that mentions "...no clowns..." once or twice...
