Or it may have been the best. But not from my standpoint. Me and my friend had decided that we were tired of playing with all the better teams and for a while we were only going to play with teams that had records under .500. So I beat him in the first game 31-22 as the Jets vs his Saints (4-12 vs 3-13). Nothing too abnormal...

Then we get to the second game: my Ravens vs his Cardinals. And all hell breaks loose. Between the two of us there were 11 turnovers and I learned that the Ravens defense is surprisingly slow. An hour and fifteen minutes later (we were only playing 4 minute quarters) the final score was 84-52 Cardinals over Ravens. Kurt Warner racked up 627 yds 6 TD 2 int, while Steve McNair got 567 yds, 3 TD, 4 INT, 3 rushing TDs. It was awful, or amazing depending on who you like.

There has to be an online emulator for this.
I was pretty pissed that they don't have a version out there for my Gameboy Micro.

edit: I thought the Ravens DST was supposed to be pretty good.

All I ever play besides Joe Montana Sports Talk Football for Sega Genesis when it comes to football related games. The ony thing that bothers me about Tecmo Bowl is the dominance of a few teams on that game, and how the computer always seems to fuck you over somehow in an attempt to prevent you from going undefeated.
I mean it is virtually impossible to tackle Bo Jackson on the game. When playing the Niners you can literally call their play on every down with your defense and Montana manages to throw the ball for a td while your DE is draped all over him. Then there are those games where a crappy opponent tackles you for a loss on nearly every single play until you hit reset and let out a string of obscenities.

True, but the real beast of the original nintendo version was Christian Okoye. That guy would break tackles like nobody's business.

Mike Singletary was THE MAN on defense.

Yes, I remember playing my friend a few years ago and he was in on every play. I believe he reset the game when I ran two fumbles back for touchdowns. I didn't blame him, there was no rational reason the Bears were that good on Defense in that game. I believe the Giants won the Super Bowl that year with LT and Co., so the Bears should have been no better than they were.
