My dad just gave me a phone call from where he's working in Florida.
He's working on the docks with some guy named Bill who was in a band that "almost made it" named Truckadeic.

Know anything about them?

I thought this was going to be a thread about a project between Patterson Hood and George Clinton.

*rim shot*

RIYL Drive By Truckers , Slobberbone, etc..

I saw a couple times in the late 90's, mostly as openers. They broke up around 2001-02 but I saw them one more time after that when they did a special gig opening for the Truckers in Athens.

Great band that were huge road dogs. Based in Atlanta. I was in Athens at the time and it seemed like they were there once a week or more.

I don't have any albums by them though. Seemed like they could've been bigger if they put out that great album like the Truckers did with Southern Rock Opera but it never happened. They had decent following in the South but never got above bar band status anywhere else.
