Although an official release date for Nine Inch Nails' still-untitled follow-up to 2005's "With Teeth" still has not been confirmed. The UK online retailer Play.com began taking pre-orders for the the new record, listing April 16, 2007 as the release date

i might give this a shot based on the slight improvement from The Fragile, but Trent's wearing out his welcome with me.

My ex-neighbor's supposed to be working on this.

So someone who buys a physical copy, let me know as I'll get you to scan the liner notes for me.

You cannot rush genius. Though, a "polite" suggestion from Jimmy Iovine might have gotten the ball rolling a bit more quickly...

But, yeah, between Reznor & Dr. Dre, Interscope has two of the most, uh, methodical performers in music. What are there, five LP between them in thirteen or fourteen years?

(The Chronic, Downward Spiral, 2001, The Fragile, With Teeth.)

Yup.

I've never been much of a fan, but I have a little bit of interest in this.

Can't wait to hear this.

I read that Trent is going for a theme with this one and it's not "radio ready" at all. More experimental.

There are 5 full length leaks out there right now, but I'm too lazy to seek em out. I'll wait. But I'm super-psyched.

really? i thought it was just a tune that leaked.....and suspect of being a radio rip or something like that.

yeah i am only aware of one leaked track. there is a clip of one song in some static-y phone message as part of trent's superpsychedelicfreakout viral marketing campaign, and a few mp3s that are part of that, but no other full tracks that i'm aware of.

Not radio-ready? Experimental? Could be worth a listen.

I did get free tix to a show on their last tour and it was pretty rad. Couldn't help but get a little nostalgic for the downward-spiral days when Trent was drunk and crazy though. They used some of the same film accompaniment at the show.

New stuff, though this is sort of a disappointment to me...

Nine Inch Nails - Survivalism

I ran across this today (good sound quality at 320 kbps) and figured some other people might want to hear it too.

Also there's apparently some really weird viral marketing to go along with this concept album. You can check out the details here:

I hate Trent Reznor's voice! I think that is the only thing that keeps me from liking nin, plus he seems to be a shitty lyrcist
