Me rikey.

I'm not sure if I have heard them all, but it is already my fave since Car Wheels.

Damn fine morning album, to be sure.[/img]

That one should be waiting for me when I get back from Taiwan on Monday- looking forward to it.

I'll be breaking this out today. The songs I've heard on Imus have been good though.

After that last one, she doesn't have a free pass with me anymore, but I'll probably still get the new one anyway.

It's a departure for sure, most akin to "Essence" Not alot of twang or a steel guitar to be found. Great album though. I am surprised by some of the negative reviews I have see though. People waiting for another "Car Wheels" who have not figured out yet that it just ain't gonna happen. The lyrics and singing are sublime. It's up there for me, but my favorites are "Lucinda Williams" and "World Without Tears".

It's my least favorite of hers, save for her debut.

I half-assedly listened once yesterday, and wasn't too impressed. It does have a cool, brooding "Cortez the Killer" vibe to it, but there were a handful of cringeworthy lyrics she tossed out there.

I read something about a 9 minute semi-rap song. CD-killer, or tolerable?

Nothing like a mother's death and lost love to get down to the heart of the matter.

I've listened to this three times, and will reserve judgment, but this may be her best ...

Yeah, I had it on yesterday for a few songs, but figured that it might best to be paired with the AM hours. So far, so good. It is a damn fine morning album.

Looking forward to getting this. Even bad Lucinda beats the tar off the best of 90% of everthing else.
