There are still a couple people who posted in this thread but haven't joined, and right now we have an odd number. Stragglers - sign up so we know if we need to recuit someone else to make it an even number. thx.

Nacho is commissioner?

Awesome.

But, I'm going to refer to him, as re: his oversight role in the fantasy league, as Ignacio.

Yahoo added additional draft times, so I moved ours to Wed. 3/29 @ 9:30 EST. If that's bad for a lot of people (I'm not sure if we'll actually be able to get a time that works for absolutely everyone), it looks like the draft schedule is flexible, so changing it again shouldn't be hard.

I capped the league at 14 teams (even though we had 16 people in this thread), b/c I didn't want to get stuck with an odd number. If the two people who haven't joined both still want to, I'll open it back up. Post here or PM me.

hey, does anyone remember a couple years ago when we broke up a team that wasn't updated?

how did we go about that? i'm the commissioner of another league where one team hasn't been checked in over two months and emails to the owner have been ignored, so i think we're going to do the same thing.

i think we went by waiver priority and then everyone picked a player from that team in exchange for someone on their own team. i guess my main question is how long do we give for people to make selections. i can't have some people backed up if, like, the team at #6 on the waiver wire doesn't pick.

Don't do it. I was the commissioner for that and all hell broke loose in the league for my decision to dismantle that team.

bump for 2007.

it seems neither nacho nor opa are posting anymore and they've typically set up fantasy leagues. anyone interested in fantasy baseball for 2007?

What timing!

I just got back from New Zealand, hence me not being around lately. I'm down, and am willing to set things up again.

Interesting scoring. Not sure if I like it or not, but it's interesting. Folks should look this over.

It's not the same as last year? Hmmm...

Also, count me in for another year of Obner Fantasy BB

Yeah, the stats are off...

We usually do a standard 5x5 Rotisserie League...

10 scoring categories (Avg., R, HR, RBI, SB for hitters, W, S, ERA, WHIP, K for pitchers). Personally, I prefer a trad. 6x6, where you would add Total Bases for hitters and Innings for pitchers.

Negative stats (Losses, walks) for pitchers are always wierd, as is rewarding only 2B for batters...

We're usually Head-to-Head instead of Rotisserie

I'm interested. Didn't play last year (but had previous 2 or 3) because I was going to be out of the country during the live draft and knew I'd get fucked missing it.

True... but we used the 5x5 stats listed above last year. The current set-up has negative points for pitchers and rewards 2B and OBP as a seperate category from AVG for hitters...

i'm not a fan of negative points for pitching and not batting (or vice versa). we should do something about that.

Hey, the draft is next Weds, and we only have 9 signed up. Also, what's up with scoring? Are we good with how it is, or should we persuade the commish (who is commish, anyway?) to change things?

I'd prefer traditional scoring, but I could live with the current format if that's what people wanted. My biggest complaint with the current system is that SBs aren't counted.
