Low - "Monkey"

I like this song, but the repeatedly-rhyming lines at the line always kill it for me...

As for me, I've been quite stuck on:

LCD Soundsystem - Movement. I have no idea why (besides the fact that it's catchy/good). It's like a discipline of a lovely discipline without all the discipline...

The first track off of The Elected's latest Sub Pop album. Don't know what it's called.

What's the ONE song you can't stop listening to right now?

Crooked Fingers - "Call to Love"

(I'll be reviewing Dignity & Shame on Hip Displeasure soon. Without spoiling things too much, let me just say that is NOT the only qual track on the album. More to come...)
i really like that album, as i think i've made clear. if you rip it a new one i will dedicate my life to making enjoying Spoon a relatively painful process.

Dude, isn't it apparent I'm not going to rip it a new one, based on the "let me just say that is NOT the only qual track on the album" line? I guess I'll go ahead and obliterate any mystery from my as-yet-unwritten review, and spill the beans...I FUCKING LOVE IT (with one minor exception, which I'm gonna save for the review, because I've got kind of a funny line I'm saving for it). But yeah, definitely the album to beat so far in 2005.

Juniper (a former band of Damien Rice's) - "Never"

It's a live track I downloaded and at the end he does a bit of "Always On My Mind". I think I listened to it fifteen times in a row last night.

#1 song right now is "encore" by em, but that'll probably be replaced with "me and mia" by ted leo

Bright Eyes - "Old Soul Song"

Tommy Stinson - "Hey You" (from a fine radcliffe mix)

Also, Jerry Jerry - "Talk About My Dick" is a pretty swell song on that mix too.

Built to Spill - Cleo

Listen to it all the time and play it for the little bump in my wife's belly. So great, anyone who is a parent or expecting should give it a listen.
