This surprises no one though it is probably in the 90th percentile for the people on this board.

beat me to the punch.

<----760 verbal

damnit I only got a 750 on the Verbal, does this mean that Loogar is 10 points smarter than me

If only it were that simple.

Also, why go to App State with scores like that (no offense ;) )

because I love the mountians and um the football. Mostly I'm just at app because of lack of $ and plus my GPA was not as impressive as my test scores. For a long time I didn't do any home work in highschool, I wish I could go back in time and kick my ass for being stupid and lazy.

Well, you sound just as smart as me then. I pretty went to UGA for all the same reasons.

Oh, and to put you at-ease about the mat...
If I remember correctly (which I very well may not), the Math section is still pretty much reading comprehension, just about math-related stuff.

Did I remember correctly?

I suppose, if applying the Pythagorean Theorum is considered "reading comprehension". Otherwise, it just makes 99th Percentile less of an achievement.

My question as well. I was guessing The Grill has upped its employee training requirements a shitload.

Yeah, Beer Tower!! Unfortunately I'm not playing on the team much anymore as I am now the trivia co-host...

No, I'm not that young. I'm 26. And already have a bachelor's degree from UGA.... BUT, I have decided to pursue something completely unrelated to music (no offense to POD, but I don't want to be a school band director). So I decided to apply to Athens Tech (yeah, shut up) for the veterinary technology program. Animal Nurse, basically. UGA isn't an option here because though they have an awesome vet school, they only offer DVM programs. Anyway, because my test scores were over 5 years old, ATC wouldn't accept them, and required that I retake a college placement test. I could have taken any of them (ACT, ASSET, SAT, whatever) for general admission to the school, but the vet tech program requires the SAT.

The test went fine. Not my ideal way to spend 4 hours on a beautiful day, but hey. I do feel much better about my possible scores after talking to a few of the other people there taking the test. One girl (also applying to the vet tech program) said she was currently taking her first Algebra class ever at Piedmont College, and had never taken geometry. I don't think any of the other 8 people taking this thing today did any sort review or research into how the test is scored. They couldn't understand when I tried to explain to them that it is better to just leave a question blank than to just pick a letter.

Kickass!

I didn't decide on a real job (and thus another degree) till 29. Fear not. And I have a feeling you will have no trouble with Athens Tech.

I think it would be sort of fun to retake the SAT and ACT, and see how many brain cells I've killed off in the last 16 years.

No offense taken.

At least you've figured out what you want to do instead. When i figure that out myself, i'll be schoolbound again.
