I really liked New Clear Days - thought it was a great Jam-influenced power pop album and managed to do an awful lot with a simple tick-tock rhythm and a hook. If I remember correctly, the second album was called Magnets and was a swing and a miss. Much more muddled and no hooks anywhere. The band kind of lived up to its name and disappeared into nothing. David Fenton lost the plot somewhere, I guess. I'd be curious to hear his version of things.

Yeah - "Magnets" doesn't live up to the debut. I've got a nice CD with both albums on 1 disc, though. And the "Turning" 7" w/the non-album b-side "Talk Talk".
