Why can't people be honest about the armed forces?

Coming from a poorer background I know alot of people who joined up and not one of them joined to serve Queen and Country. They joined so they could shoot people, blown stuff up and drive tanks over cars. And you can stamp that in red ink FACT.

This noble military notio is just a lot of horseshit.

Not quite, bucko. There are many who join to better themselves, their lot in life, or even *gasp* their country, be it The USA or The UK...

Most of those who are in it for the horshit noble military notion are probably officers, but a ton of people join for the 'adventure' and realize that it is a righteous way to earn a living.
