I got this in the mail from Netflix yesterday and I really should've watched it last night instead of the Dawn Of The Dead* remake because after today's events I really have no desire to watch it.

* = this kicked ass, btw

What's that? I'm sorry, I was distracted by your avatar.

I've never seen Fahrenheit 9/11 (or either version of Dawn of the Dead) and I doubt I ever will. From what I've seen of Moore on news appearances, I can't stand him.

I found F911 to be garbage. Insulting to the audience moreso than GWB and the administration. Filmwise, it can't hold a candle to The Passion, though I wasn't that enthusiastic about Gibson's work either. Jesus will lose the Oscar to Moore, though. No doubt.

i'll probably watch it next week sometime when the anger has died down. i'm really not that big a fan of moore either.

i also bought the creature from the black lagoon legacy edition. these are some sweet dvd's...dracula, frankenstein, the wolfman, invisible man, mummy. all with a bunch of sequels on the 2nd discs...too bad they're not in widescreen though.

I'm not much of a Moore fan, either - but we bought the "F9/11" DVD cuz the Mrs wanted to see it. And yeah, I made sure to watch it before yesterday because "if Bush wins, I'm not gonna wanna watch it" .

I liked it more than I thought I would.

I avoided watching it until I chose who to vote for.

9/11 is not bad, though he spends waay too much time retreading the Bush/Bin Laden Carlysle connection. That cou'dve taken like 2 minutes of the movie instead of 20. Anyone who had a clue of who Michael Moore was before this movie came out is retarded to complain about its bias/presentation of facts. It's exactly what you'd expect. I for one am not going to complain for someone on the left skewing the facts a bit for his favor. Right the fuck on.

original Dawn of the Dead>remake
It's a close call, though. that opening scene in the car though is fucking wyckyd. If they had kept it in PA things might be a bit more even. Shiv they put out

Pennsylvania is [img][650:482]http://www.gonemovies.com/WWW/WanadooFilms/Thriller/nightZombies4.jpg[/img] zombie country.

Oh and Shiv Night of the Living Dead, Carnival of Souls, and the Lee/Cushing classic The Satanic Rites of Dracula was put together on one DVD for like $6 a few years ago. best. disc. ever.[[/img]

I thought F/911, Roger and Me, Canadian Bacon, and Bowling for Columbine were all great. However, it's probably because I'm a whiny liberal like Michael Moore. :(

Widescreen wasn't introduced until 1953, so none of those Legacy Edition films were shot wide except for the Creature from the Black Lagoon series.
