I don't know anything about it, except for what is in this thread.

Where was this show? I've heard rumours of Byrne being at at least one of these shows, it wouldn't surprise me at all to have had him play.

That is fucking epic.

It does sound fairly incredible, if it did indeed happen...

bowie and byrne were at arcade fire's bowery shows last november. they talked about it the next night in philly. this is pretty awesome, but not totally surprising. then again, i just assume these things always happen in new york, just never at the shows i've been to.

Yeah, 4 of my friends were there. One of them said it was the best Groundhog Day show EVER!!!

I was at the Bowery Arcade Fire show in November, and I didn't see Bowie or Byrne. I think you are lying, z.

Mike, can you back me up? I barely remember being there.

well, the band mentioned david byrne the next night in philly. win said that david byrne talked to them after the show and told them that while they were playing "this must be the place", a couple drunk guys staggered over to him and were like, "dude, isn't this your song? they're playing your song!" and he was just like, "no, that's not me. wrong guy, sorry."

i heard from two friends that they saw david bowie there. and actually, one of them said he saw melissa etheridge too. that's second-hand, though.

I totally went home with Melissa Ethridge after the show. She said she had been there to see Hidden Cameras. Melissa takes her coffee black.

because everything else happens in LA.

It's in my opinion that once David Bowie partakes an active interest in your band, you're truly fucked. You know what would make me SO happy? If he and Iman just started showing up everywhere decked out in LL Bean and demanding more Carole King songs.
