Fans of The Coral, come out and educate

Why I've sat on this band and not paid any attention to them is beyond me.

What are people's recs?

After seeing it on Later with Jules Holland, I have officially fallen in love with "Don't Think You're The First" off of Magic & Medicine.

they're a singles band. nearly every single they've released is at least really good, if not great. album tracks are another matter, though. that's pretty consistent through all of their albums. i'd recommend starting with magic & medicine or maybe the self-titled album.

absolutely incredible band, every release (yes estone, even the last album

). in fact, one of my favorite bands in the last 10 years. so inspired and original in their own right, especially seeing their age.

stu, start from the very beginning dude, and head on from there. their demo/ep's are just great, the debut album a classic imo, magic and medicine showing some maturity, nightfreak showing their ability to take the piss and enjoy themselves, the invisible invasion showing more dylan love while keeping their trademark quirkiness.

i'll be seriously pissed off if i die before seeing these boys live.

new album is on it's way as well!!!!

I don't really remember anything about the Coral show that I saw, so I'm going to say they were mediocre live. Z will remember. He remembers everything.

If you can ever catch this band live, do so. For being as young as they are, they have a "seasoned" presence about 'em and give incredible performances.

They put out a 2-disc Singles Collection last year that I wasn't aware of.
