Long time Phillies coach John Vukovich died today at the age of 59 from an inoperable brain tumor. Now most of you have either already heard the news or just may not care. I understand that. However, growing up surrounded by Phillies news and broadcasts, it was impossible not to like this guy. Yeah, as a hardcore Phillies fan this news hit me pretty hard.
He was a class act that made the organization better.

He always seemed like a nice dude, so this sucks. I wonder if they'll have his number as a patch this year ?
