Well, it looks like I'll be having another neck surgery in the next week or two... I've got degenerative disc disease and currently have a herniated cervical disc that is impinging on my spinal column and nerve root which is causing me severe pain in my right arm, shoulder, neck with radiating pain that shoots down my right arm all the way to my fingers. I'm slowly losing strength in my right arm and run the risk of permanent nerve damage.

I've had 1 anterior cervical discectomy w/ fusion surgery back in September 2004 and now I'll have another disc removed as well (the exact same type of surgery, just a different disc in my neck).

I'm calling to schedule the surgery in the morning... I'll repost when I know specifically when my surgery will be.

I'm just asking for your thoughts and prayers... any help couldn't hurt, huh? Thanks for listening (or reading, actually).

All my thoughts, man.

My dad's had four spinal fusion surgeries over the last nine years (and one back in 1989 to kick things off). It's a combination of our family's muscle/nervous disease and disc degeneration and I know how hard it is to go through.

Best of luck.

Dude, you're one step closer to becoming bionic! That's really what you're trying to do, isn't it? :)

Seriously, hope the surgery goes well. Hurry back!

Thoughts are definitely with you. My mom had surgery on the disc in her back, and its no joke. She continues to have troubles with another disc, so I've seen the pain it can cause. Hopefully we'll see you back on here in no time.

Thanks for all the support.

My surgery is scheduled for Monday, March 19th (1 week from today).

But I'll still be online on Wednesday for the Fantasy Baseball draft!!!

I had surgery on a disc in my lower back about 10 years ago. It has made me feel so much better. I cherish every day that I get to walk.

Now that's dedication!

Good luck (with surgery, not the draft)
