Hopefully do something outside if it's as pretty as the weather says it's going to be. Watch some hoops somewhere.
Meet up with Bloor and his Missus and maybe some other folks and see where the night leads us.

Sunday:

Sleep in. Haircut. Watch Conference Championship games and await the Selection Show.

Go buy new Son Volt at some point.

tonight i'm going to a coworker's going-away party. he's moving within the company, but he's been a significant presence in our department for a long time. and he's one of the coolest guys here. and then i'm going to see jon brion at steppenwolf.

tomorrow i'll probably buy tickets for soulwax and the national (separate shows) before maybe some laundry and/or cleaning. and then i'm going to see badly drawn boy.

if i don't get to the laundry and/or cleaning on saturday, i'll do it sunday after i buy mets tickets. and then i'm going to see jon brion's "secret" show on sunday.

Today: deal with a bunch of work bs -- basically, though I now have my own company, and I have a good client, my duties are very murkily defined, and we have entered into a "too many cooks" situation, which will drive me batshit ass crazy if I don't get it figured out. TODAY!

Tonite: Fuck if I know. I have re-entered a "montgomery sucks, and I have no money to go have fun in ATL" brain space. Probably drink some P.O.D.-style bloody mary's and maybe watch the rest of The Wire S2.

Tmrw: Clean the house like a whirling dervish. Probably deal with tears as I just throw shit away willy-nilly. Clutter is my mortal enemy, and it shall be vanquished.

Sunday: Jack off with 30 grit sand paper?

This weekend I have to 'get intelligent'.

I might just have been able to pull that off, if that was all I had to get, but unfortunately I have to combine it with 'get studious' and 'get productive' also.

As a result of this post I've 'got depressed'.

Just for day hiking?

If overnight, where do you pack your shit?

Or does the wife hump all that.

Today:
I am working the Semi-finals of the Nebraska State Boys Basketball Tourney.
At 4pm, I am leaving with my siblings to visit my mother and brother for the weekend in Norfolk. I will be eating fish tonight at a Catholic Church Lenten Fish Fry and then will either go drinking with my brother and his friends at a local dive bar or we will play guitar hero 2 at my house.
Saturday:
Nothing planned to my knowledge. We might go drinking that night instead.
Sunday:
I'm going to Church, since my family is having a memorial mass for my cousin who recently passed away due to Renal Cancer.

I spent an entire afternoon in that REI when I was in Denver. So much fun.

And you make fun of the infant backpack, but at least you're still getting your exercise and exposing the kid to nature. My cousin and his wife have one for each kid and they're the coolest people I know. I look at it as a way of keeping your lifestyle and introducing your kid at the same time. Don't worry... it's not like you're rockin' the minivan* yet. Or are you...?

Me:
Tonight: Jon Brion @ Steppenwolf
Tomorrow: Morning run with friend; Badly Drawn Boy @ Metro; LDW dance party with morning run friend
Sunday: Morning run/strength training; maybe a movie; rest

*there's nothing wrong with that either.

Speaking of which, you know anything about The Big Sleep?

I think I read also that another band is opening called Irreversible. Not 100% sure though.

they opened here in chicago, too. they were pretty cool - lots of instrumentals. not as rockin' or fun as the thermals, but still worthwhile for an opener.

I think some band called Sleep Therapy are opening. Local Atl. act that look kind of emo. I want to try to make it in for The Big Sleep. I'll call you when I get into town. Let's plan on meeting at The Local around 8:00/8:15 or so.

When the wife and I got married, we each got to make one rule...her's was no living in a trailor and mine was no minivans. Either action constitutes immediate grounds for divorce.

so far...so good
