According to the commentary on the Tom Green Show dvd set, they don't sell milk in bags in the States.

Is this for real?

I've never bought mik in a carton.

They have bags for catering/dispensers, but even that's in a crate.

milk bags = tits.

And you can find them for sale in some places. Watch out though, it may be illegal.

Other than that, you buy milk in the carton...

Why the fuck would you want to buy milk in a bag?

Seriously. Would you buy beer or anything else to drink from a bag? It's gotta be a bitch to pour.

Is it just Canada or has half the world gone mad?

i guess it might make cereal eating easier, just tossing the cereal in the bag. and i suppose it beats the backwood-european alternative of sucking directly from the pump.

We buy milk by the 20 gallon barrel.

Every year thousands of Scots have their toes crushed by milk buyers rolling their barrel home with a stick.

Five Iron Frenzy has a song about milk in a bag. Actually, the song is about canada.

The only time I drank milk from a bag was in highschool because instead of getting milk in cartons we got it in little plastic pouches. You'd have to sqeeze them and quickly jab a pointed straw in. If you didn't cover the end of the straw milk would go gushing everywhere.

Actually, those bags were hella fun. After all the milk was drank you could blow air into the bag, seal it off, and use it to shoot uneaten food across the cafeteria (usually fruit or rice or such similar items). Good times.

The most retarded thing about milk in a bag is that it forces the consumer to buy an extra milk container - usually a handled plastic jug that the bag sits inside. And then the bag sits open, sponging up any odors emanating from within the fridge. It's a shitty system that civilized areas stopped using decades ago.

This is what I think about when I think milk in a bag. Beside milk gushing from the straw when jabbing it in, you also ran the risk of shoving the straw all the way through the bag. Think Capri-Sun pouch but without the pretty packaging.

When I was a kid we got free milk at school. Thatcher (the milk snatcher) stopped it but the point was it was supposed to benefit the health of the primary school kids drinking it.

Anyway the cartons of milk had a picture of an animal on them and of course when the milk was served up all the kids made a mad rush for the cartons with the 'cool' animals on them (I remember the Killer Whale one being especially prized as opposed to say, a cow or a duck) resulting in mass brawling and rioting which probably offset the health benefits of drinking the milk in the first place.

That's not why Thatcher stopped it though. They needed the money to buy more truncheons to beat the working classes with.
