Intonation, Pitchfork, and Lollapalooza are again in Chicago this summer, along with plenty of other smaller festivals. Feel free to post confirmations and rumors in this thread.

Intonation - June TBA
Rumored to be curated by Jon Brion this year. (Last year was by Vice, the year before by Pitchfork.)

Pitchfork - July 13-15
Cat Power, Clipse, Girl Talk, Grizzly Bear, Iron & Wine, Jamie Lidell, Of Montreal, Powerhouse Sound, and Professor Murder are confirmed.

Lollapalooza - August 3-5
Presales were March 8. Regular tickets on sale April 3 at probably $130.

Would Pitchfork ever be anywhere else?

Don't forget to mention that huge Summerfest music festival in the northern Chicago suburb called Milwaukee.

aw man. i'm going to be out of town that weekend anyway, but that's also pitchfork weekend and folk & roots usually brings in some quality to headline. it's also right down the street from me. i saw irma thomas last year and alejandro escovdeo and ozomatli the year before. good times.

I'm almost definitely in for Pitchfork, and any other festival I'm in town for. I'm in Chicago through July, but I'll be away visiting my parents and hopefully somewhere like the Galapagos for a bit as well.

that'd be awesome! i'm definitely contemplating on going because 1) it falls the weekend of my birthday, 2) not going to coachella so this will be my big festival for the year and 3) eddie will give me passes and i have a place to stay...

not to mention DAFT PUNK! (seeing them twice in the week of my birthday would be fucking INSANE)

Has anyone caught the The 1900s live show? A crazy ex-roommate is in that band.

taste of randolph this year is fountains of wayne, broken west, smoking popes, the walkmen, the changes, marshall crenshaw, and some others. that's not a bad lineup. i just hope it doesn't rain again this year. i'm still upset i left instead of sticking around for the black keys last year.
